Lorie Dudley, CPA

Nonprofit Financial Solutions

Lorie began her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young and then worked as a Financial Reporting Manager and Assistant Controller for a public company. She worked for a mid-size CPA firm in Salt Lake City managing and supervising audits for not-for-profit organizations, small public companies, and other privately held companies.

Lorie was the Chief Financial Officer for YWCA Utah for seven years until April 2021, with a break in her tenure (2014-2017) to devote more time to her family. While at the YWCA, she assisted in securing New Market Tax Credits for a $15 million campus expansion at the YWCA and oversaw all financial aspects and compliance reporting until the transaction was successfully closed out in 2015. In addition, she assisted the YWCA with their low-income housing multi-family tax credit project when the tax credit partner exited the LLC.

From 2014 through 2017, she worked as an independent contractor for several non-profit organizations (including the YWCA), assisting them with internal control and accounting system design, finance and investment policies, budgets, financial statement and single audit preparation, compliance with government grant contracts, strategic planning and accounting oversight and financial statement preparation.

Lorie earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Lorie has also taught accounting classes at the University of Utah.
