Before joining Pathway Associates, Kristien McDonald worked for several years with Utah Food Bank Services as its primary grant writer, managing a large and complex portfolio of private, corporate, and government grants. She has extensive experience in the field of grant research, data collection and reporting systems, and program evaluation.
In 2008, she co-founded a music publishing company in which she continues to oversee a wide range of operations including product development, wholesale and retail fulfillment, accounting, and graphic and web design.
Kristien graduated with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Utah.
She is passionate about public policy and advocacy as a tool for public change. She remains civically active in her community, with a particular interest in education policy. She currently serves in an advisory role for the Salt Lake City School District and on various school community councils and school PTA boards.
