Pathway Pays It Forward

Paying it forward recognizes the gratitude we feel for what has come our way, and the compassion we have for those in need. We’re all in this together, and no one person or organization has all of the good ideas. During this time of crisis, our Pathway team is lifting up nonprofits throughout the region who are adapting to this crisis in innovative ways — whether through new ways of service delivery, creative fundraising or other revenue generating ventures, smart operational adjustments, or any other brilliant ideas! We will feature one nonprofit in each of Pathways "We're Here to Help" newsletters, and the featured nonprofit will receive a $250 donation from Pathway.

Nominate an organization who inspires you by sending an email to with the organization’s name and a few lines about their innovative adaptations.

The Community Foundation of Utah

We catalyze philanthropy in Utah by fostering accessible, collaborative, and innovative giving in our communities, now and for generations to come.

COVID-19 has brought many challenges, including rapidly rising unemployment and concerns about meeting immediate needs. In response, the Community Foundation of Utah has teamed up with Mercato Partners and the Savory Relief Foundation to launch the Utah Community Savory Relief Pack Fund. Donations through the Savory Relief Pack Fund provides meals to community healthcare workers, grocery store employees, first responders, unemployed or furloughed individuals, and others most impacted by COVID-19. This program not only meets immediate needs of individuals and families in our community, but supports local restaurants to keep their staff employed. Some of the recipients of this service have included furloughed workers from the Grand America Hotel, the Spanish Fork Police & Fire Department, Mapleton Elementary employees, and Utah State Hospital staff. Currently, Relief Packs are being served to more than 1,000 people per day, with the goal to eventually feed 8,000 per day.
